Let's get the Roman sun!

If you have read our presentation, you already know who we are: Alessia and Giulia, landed in Rome a week ago. In seven days we have experienced more adventures then we have had in our town in 19 years. Rome is just exciting, surprising, and at every corner you can find something that takes your breath away; surely living in an apartment by ourself is not as easy as we thought. Mom is not here anymore and there are so many things to do that 24 hours are not even enough. Until two weeks ago days used to seem just boring and endless, as grey as a cloudy Sunday morning, but now the sun keeps shining everywhere.

So, why did we move here?
John Cabot University is the answer. A communications degree is the goal.
John Cabot is an American University, perfect for two girls who are just crazy about the States. And actually it's pretty hard to stay calm whenever we meet new people from California or East Coast (no offense to the other states. We love you all but, you know, who doesn't get excited talking about New York City or hot blond Californian surfers?). By now we have met so many people that we can't even remember their names; however, everybody is so nice that John Cabot doesn't even seem a place where to study.
Currently we are on Orientation week and Saturday we'll get to choose our classes for the first semester. Of course it's hard to think about what is going to be useful for our future careers. Actually we don't even know what we want to be in some years! It's kind of scary to make such important decision.

What about Rome?
It's the Eternal city, what can we say? We used to live in a small and depressing town and suddenly we found ourselves in a international and inspiring environment. Rome has something to offer to anyone: food, shopping, museums, concerts, and anything you can think about.
Trastevere, where our University is located, is the heart of Rome, with its nice narrow streets, typical restaurants, old shops and its movida. At night the streets are full, while in the morning everything is quiet and peaceful. It doesn't even seem the same place at all!

You know what we did the first night here? Obviously we made toast with our loved Cosmopolitans.

Cheers!

Alessia and Giulia
